Job Summary and Qualifications As a Transporter at our facility you will be joining a hard-working, compassionate team. In this role: You will be responsible for transporting patients to and from the Radiology Department and their assigned hospital room. You will assist the technologist with moving of patients in and out of examining rooms. You will check oxygen tanks at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure that they are full and all parts are operating properly. You will clean transportation equipment after each patient use. You will provide encouragement, support, and comfort to patients and family members. You will observe and report information regarding patient needs to licensed personnel. You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures. You will perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages. What qualifications you will need:Prior healthcare experience is preferred. American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
