JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for delivery, pick-up and distribution of medication, supplies/products, and confidential information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Pick up and deliver supplies and materials.
  • Document mileage and time
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships in order to effectively perform job duties.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and confidentiality of medical information.
  • Attend pertinent in- services to effectively perform job duties.
  • Perform such related duties not listed herein but deemed in the best interest of Northern Maine Medical Center Pharmacy.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Work as a member of the pharmacy team to help reinforce a culture of safety in the department and organization wide.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Ability to read, write, and follow simple written and oral instructions. Must have a valid Maine driver's license and 1 years' experience driving a vehicle.

  • Perception is necessary for driving. Correctable to 20/20, full range of vision and absence of medical or legal restrictions or impairments prohibiting the holding of a valid driver's license. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources.
  • Works inside and outside, exposed to traffic and weather hazards.
  • Hearing must be adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
  • Requires periods of sitting while driving.
  • Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 45 pounds unassisted.
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
