The Trauma Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a cost-effective system of care for trauma patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. The TPM works both independently and in collaboration with the trauma services medical director and other members of the health care team and the management staff. The TPM is self-directed and self-motivating, plans and conducts work with minimal direction, and reports the progress of work to the director of nursing.
Responsibilities:• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Two (2) years of clinical experience in Trauma and/or Emergency Care required.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to accept and implement change.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
• Possession of critical thinking, analytical, teaching/coaching, and research skills.
• Currently certified in Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC).
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky.
