Full-Time | 1.0 FTE | Day Shift Hours: 0700 - 1530, M-Fr

Salary Range: $29.49 - $44.27 per hour

About the Role

As a Trauma Registrar, you will serve as a key member of the Trauma Program, managing trauma registry operations and providing the critical data that supports quality improvement, trauma center verification and designation, injury prevention initiatives, and system-wide performance evaluation.

Your work will help identify trends, improve processes, and ensure that trauma patients receive the highest quality care possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Abstract and analyze trauma patient data for inclusion in the Trauma Registry

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for state agencies, regulatory bodies, and trauma organizations

  • Support quality improvement initiatives through accurate data collection and analysis

  • Assist with hospital trauma center designation and verification activities

  • Ensure timely submission of data to state and national trauma databases, including:

  • National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB)

  • Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP)

  • Maintain trauma program documentation, policies, and committee records as applicable

  • Participate in registry validation and data accuracy initiatives

  • Support injury prevention and trauma education efforts through data analysis and reporting

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience in healthcare or trauma-related services
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical record documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and data management skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting productivity and reporting deadlines
  • Obtain Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) certification within 18 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with trauma registry abstraction and ICD-10 coding
  • Formal ICD-10 coding training
  • Successful completion of anatomy coursework
  • Certified Trauma Registrar (CTR)
  • Certified Coding Associate (CCA)
  • Medical Technology education or related healthcare experience
