Job Summary and Responsibilities

As ourTrauma Surgery Advanced Practitioner, you will be a vital contributor to a dynamic surgical team, delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care to critically injured patients within a Level 3/4 trauma center in Gilbert, Arizona. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to significantly impact patient outcomes through advanced clinical practice, collaborate with top-tier surgeons, and actively participate in the expansion of a growing trauma service line. Every day you will provide high-quality care to both general surgery and trauma patients, including managing new general surgery consults when surgeons are off-site and immediately responding to trauma activations in the Emergency Department. You will also rotate clinic responsibilities, providing essential post-operative follow-up appointments and offering triage support as needed. This position involves a flexible schedule, primarily 12-hour shifts (6 AM - 6 PM), with exciting discussions around potential swing shifts (Noon - Midnight) and overnight coverage, reflecting the impressive growth opportunities within our organization.

Job Requirements

Required

PA

  • Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
  • General Surgery experience and ED experience a plus

NP

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Graduate of accredited program for Nurse Practitioners
  • Compact state or Arizona RN license
  • Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
  • General Surgery experience and ED experience a plus=
