Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift float position requiring 2+ years of comparable acuity experience and Cerner EMR proficiency.

Details

• Acute care float position, with unit assignments made by the nursing supervisor at time of staffing
• May float to a variety of units including Medical, Surgery/GI, Trauma, Observation, Oncology, Nephrology, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Pulmonary, Cardiac Surgery, and Cardiac
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45pm-7:15am with a 30-minute lunch
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6, though this may vary based on need
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Not open to block scheduling

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered TN or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting required
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assigned to float across multiple medical-surgical and specialty units based on staffing needs
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous employees are eligible to return
• Travel pairs are allowed
