Travel Nursing Job Details

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact/multistate RN license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in a comparable-acuity hospital setting
• Previous acute care, telemetry, medical-surgical, or float pool nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Previous Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) experience required
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing unit assignments, patient populations, and patient care priorities
• Two professional references required; references may be pending at submission
• First-time travel nurses may be considered
• Annual influenza vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions may be considered

Telemetry and Acute Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients across multiple acute care and telemetry units
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition, escalating concerns promptly to the appropriate provider
• Administer medications and treatments while maintaining accurate clinical documentation in Cerner
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, ancillary departments, patients, and families to coordinate care
• Float as assigned to medical, surgical, trauma, observation, oncology, nephrology, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, pulmonary, cardiac, and cardiac surgery units
• Prioritize care effectively while adapting to varying patient populations, acuity levels, and staffing needs
• Support patient education, discharge planning, infection prevention, and quality and patient safety initiatives
