Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Onsite | 36 or 48 hours per week options available

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and related units, including Tele, PCU, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Trauma, and Observation, depending on assignment
  • Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned floors
  • Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs, including potential assignment to a sister campus located approximately 16 minutes away
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport teams, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs where applicable
  • Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
  • Fulfill weekend shift requirements (Friday night and Saturday night for night shift) and work 2 of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

Required Qualifications

  • Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting required
  • Ability and willingness to manage IV drips on all assigned floors
  • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification strongly preferred
  • Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (considered in lieu of standard first-timer restrictions)
  • Background in specialty areas such as Neuro, Oncology, Cardiac, Trauma, or Transplant
