Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night-shift acute surgery unit role requiring recent specialty experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute Surgery Unit (614A) focused on Med/Surg patients
• Patient population includes general, colo-rectal, bariatric, and plastic surgery cases
• 12-hour night shifts, schedule varies 7p-7:30a
• 3 shifts per week with a 36-hour weekly guarantee
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Med/Surg or related surgical specialty required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to surgical patients on a busy acute surgery unit
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
• First-time travelers may be considered
