Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a fast-paced Acute Surgery Unit requiring 12-hour night shifts and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Acute Surgery Unit within a hospital setting
• Fast-paced unit discharging and admitting 8-15 patients daily
• Patients admitted from the ED, PACU, or as direct admits
• Dedicated ADT (admission, discharge, transfer) nurse supports patient flow
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 3 shifts per week
• Shift times vary around 6:45pm-7:15am
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty required
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Returning permanent staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
• Strict compliance expectations with no pushes, exceptions, or conditional starts
• 100% credentialing must be completed prior to start date
