Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Psychiatric Adult – Lewiston, ME 04240

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts per week, night shift. 13-week assignment with potential for up to 3 shift cancellations per contract period. Must be willing to float to Chemical Dependency/Detox units as needed.

Highlights:

• Work as an essential member of an interdisciplinary patient care team providing inpatient behavioral health services
• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care including medication administration, patient education, and behavioral monitoring
• Participate in and lead therapeutic education groups for patients

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Valid State of Maine RN license required
• BLS certification required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required
• Minimum 1 year of previous nursing experience required; 1-3 years working with adults preferred
• Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Clean background check and licensure required; previous employees not eligible
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to manage stressful situations and maintain professional boundaries
