Job Summary:
Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Located in Palo Alto, California. This position involves providing comprehensive, hands-on patient care in an outpatient setting, practicing within the scope of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while fostering family-centered, evidence-based practice and contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: CA-RN (Registered Nurse) license; Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; 1 year of nursing experience; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in oncology preferred but not required; EKG exam not required.
- Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for creating a healing environment, obtaining accurate assessment data, developing and implementing an individualized care plan, and evaluating intervention effectiveness. The role includes patient and family education, team collaboration, and promoting safety and quality improvement initiatives. The position demands swift problem-solving, emergency protocol activation, and leadership within the clinical team.
