Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technician for a contract opportunity supporting the Operating Room at LIJ Valley Stream.

The facility has a 7-bed OR, 1 Endoscopy suite, and 1 Interventional Radiology (IR) procedural area, with up to 30 cases per day. The department supports adult patients and a variety of specialties, including orthopedic and robotic procedures.

The Anesthesia Technician may occasionally float to the Endoscopy and IR areas based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers with equipment, supplies, and room setup.

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment for surgical procedures.

• Ensure anesthesia machines, monitors, pumps, and related equipment are available and functioning properly.

• Support anesthesia providers throughout procedures.

• Maintain appropriate inventory and organization of anesthesia supplies.

• May float to Endoscopy and Interventional Radiology as needed.

• Follow hospital policies and applicable safety standards.
