Travel Anesthesia Technician - $2,100 to $2,250 per week in Valley Stream, NY

Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technician will support anesthesia providers and the surgical team in the Operating Room by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, supplies, and medications. The role will work in a busy surgical environment supporting adult patients and may float to Endoscopy and Interventional Radiology areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare anesthesia machines, equipment, supplies, and work areas for scheduled procedures.
• Assist anesthesia providers with equipment setup and troubleshooting during surgical cases.
• Maintain and check anesthesia equipment to ensure proper operation and readiness.
• Support anesthesia services across a 7-bed OR, Endoscopy, and IR procedural areas.
• Assist with up to 30 cases per day in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Work with equipment including Drager and Mindray anesthesia machines, Sonosite, Belmont rapid transfuser, Glidescope, Philips monitors, and Alaris pumps.
• Maintain appropriate anesthesia supplies and ensure equipment is available when needed.
• May float between the OR, Endoscopy, and IR areas based on department needs.
• Support orthopedic and robotic surgical procedures.
• Follow hospital safety, infection-control, equipment-handling, and patient-care protocols.
