Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - Adolescent Mood Disorders

Schedule

Day shifts, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) with every other weekend required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team in the Adolescent Mood Disorders Unit. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adolescent patients experiencing a range of mood disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent patients with mood disorders.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and responses to treatments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding treatment plans and mental health resources.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans.
• May be required to assume charge nurse responsibilities without additional pay.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a behavioral health setting, specifically with adolescents.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred.
• Experience in charge nurse roles is preferred.
