Psych/BH RN – Inpatient Psych

Shift: Nights, Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Hours: 40 hrs/week
Weekend: Every other weekend
EMR: Epic
Contract: 13 weeks

Must Have:

• 15 months Psych/Behavioral Health experience
• Recent/current inpatient Psych experience highly preferred
• 24 months current Psych/BH experience on resume/work history required
• Epic experience
• Experience with adolescents, adults & geriatrics
• Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license
• AHA/ARC BLS
• Driver’s license
• First-time travelers accepted with 12 months Psych/BH experience

Preferred:

• Active MOAB, MAB, CPI, or SAMA de-escalation certification
  • Can be obtained during onboarding
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/manager/director/CNO/COO within the last 24 months

Unit Details:

• 10-bed unit
• Ratios up to 1:3–5
• Acute psychiatric patients
• Major mental health illnesses
• Chronic behaviors including violence, aggression, mania & self-harm
• Restraint competency required
• Navy blue solid scrubs
• Home unit is Geri

Important:

• No locals — must live 50+ miles from facility based on driver’s license
• Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s
