Location: Kansas City, MO
Hospital: Research Psychiatric Center
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Guaranteed:48 hrs/week
Contract: 13 weeks

Must-Haves

• Active RN license
• BLS
• ACTIVE BLUE CARD CPI – REQUIRED TO SUBMIT
• Psych/Behavioral Health RN experience
• Ability to assess mental health status and behavioral changes
• Medication administration and knowledge of psychotropic medications
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
• Therapeutic communication
• Patient care planning and evaluation

Unit Details

• ADOL: 18 beds | Ages 12–18
• Serenity: 24 beds | Lower-acuity adults
• ITU: 32 beds | Higher-acuity adults, thought-disorder diagnoses
• SRAD: 16 beds | Senior population
• VINE: 9 beds | Lower-acuity adults
• RN ratio: 8:1
• Documentation: Meditech
• Uniform: Black; nurses wear blue, MHTs green/black
• Floating: C/L utilized where greatest need exists

Important: Days off are not guaranteed unless specifically written into the contract. Weekend coverage is required.

Biggest submission requirement:Active Blue Card CPI + BLS + Psych RN experience.
