Description: This position is for a Behavioral Health Technician with experience in a locked unit. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients 18 years and older. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, conducting safety checks, and assisting with daily activities. Candidates must be skilled in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Experience with mental health diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and PTSD is preferred. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. All applicants must have the ability to recognize medication side effects and manage assaultive behavior. Strong therapeutic communication skills are essential for this role.
