The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing patients with hematological malignancies. Experience Requirements A minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical and inpatient hematology oncology experience. Chemo certification is required. Patient Diagnoses Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Adult) Amyloidosis Aplastic Anemia Chronic Leukemia Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) Chronic Myeloid (Myelogenous) Leukemia Hodgkin's Lymphoma Multiple Myeloma Myelodysplastic Syndrome Myeloproliferative Disorders Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Special Procedures/Unit Details Autologous Transplants: Administration of the patient's own stem cells. Syngeneic Transplants: Administration of stem cells from an identical twin. Allogeneic Transplants: Administration of stem cells from a sibling, parent, or an unrelated donor. CAR-T Therapy: Specialized therapy for certain types of cancer. Certifications Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification Preferred Certifications Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Key Skills Required Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias Utilization of Rapid Response Teams Feeding tube care and management Blood product administration Central line blood draw and management PICC line management Nasal cannula administration Central line sterile dressing changes Chemotherapy administration Shift Details This position will require a commitment to a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule, with potential assignments on days or a combination thereof based on departmental needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every four-week scheduling period, though changes are not guaranteed.
