Job Summary Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Registered Nurse (RN) San Antonio, TX. This role entails providing specialized care to oncology patients undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplants. The RN will be responsible for administering chemotherapy, managing central lines, and coordinating patient care within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Job Details
Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS certification; at least 2 years of oncology experience; experience with mediports, PICC lines, and central lines required. Chemotherapy certification preferred.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Administer chemotherapy treatments, perform central line dressings and lab draws, ensure patient safety and comfort, follow all protocols including temperature and chemo management, and adhere to unit policies for floating and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications: Chemotherapy certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Additional Information: All travelers are required to float as needed. Candidates must demonstrate compliance with unit-specific protocols and dress code requirements.
