Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Fort Smith. This role involves providing specialized care for patients requiring critical monitoring and treatment, including neuro, surgical, and medically complex cases. The position offers a dynamic environment within a mixed unit that emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and compassionate care.

Job Details:

• Location: Fort Smith, AR
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 2+ years of relevant ICU or critical care experience; Must pass a medication and math competency test with a score of 90% or higher; Experience in neuro, surgical, or mixed critical care units preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: CCRN or SCRN certification; experience in open heart recovery and CRRT is a plus.
• Patient Population: Most patients are medical, with some neuro surgery and cardiovascular surgery cases.
• Additional Information: All licensed co-workers providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency exam before medication administration. The exam assesses knowledge of drug actions, side effects, dosages, and IV management.
