Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Burn/Surgical ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in the Burn ICU of a hospital environment on a closed ICU model
  • Care for adult complex surgical patients including burns as well as acutely ill medical patients (SICU and MICU-type)
  • Thermal burn patients currently constitute less than 10% of the unit's population
  • Multispecialty care team model with APPs as primary ICU providers, supported by admitting surgical teams, consultants, residents, and 24/7 in-house attending ICU physicians
  • 36 hours per week on a rotating day/night schedule
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing support within a multidisciplinary ICU team
  • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston, MA are considered at a reduced rate compared to standard travel rate
  • Time is tracked using UKG/Kronos
