Job Description

The Cardiac Care ICU is a highly specialized 20-bed unit providing care for patients undergoing a variety of open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac ICU patients
• Monitor vital signs and patient status using specialized equipment
• Assist in the management of intravascular devices, including intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impella
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU setting
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• NIH certification recommended

Holiday Expectations

MUST work 2 major holidays of the 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and 1 minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve.
