Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position involves independently performing imaging procedures pertinent to cardiac catheterization, utilizing technical expertise with a focus on safety and accuracy. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient interaction, and adherence to departmental protocols to facilitate diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist), ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist), or ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) program with MR registry. MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the primary registry date or date of hire if already obtained. CNMT, ARDMS, and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty area is required. Valid certifications include ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTC (Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification), or ARDMS, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) and applicable state licenses. Candidates must meet all licensing and certification requirements for Pennsylvania and be eligible for employment at the facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures and familiarity with departmental protocols for contrast administration and patient care.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This position includes reading and presenting relevant patient information to physicians based on protocol, correctly identifying patients, reviewing patient history, and ensuring all exams are properly documented, coded, and archived. Candidates must have completed the Act 73 results for clearance if required.
