The role emphasizes patient care, equipment operation, and supporting clinical documentation to ensure smooth departmental operations.

Job Details

  • Shift Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, 7am to 3:30pm or 8am to 4:30pm, with on-call evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited technical program; Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred; 2 years of experience; valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred but not required; ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology certification, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentials are desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related cardiovascular role.
  • Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist in imaging procedures requiring independent judgment and technical proficiency.
    • Demonstrate proper positioning, radiographic techniques, and patient monitoring.
    • Ensure radiation safety and aseptic technique during procedures.
    • Support patient preparation, contrast administration, and post-procedure care.
    • Document patient data, procedure details, and radiation exposure accurately.
    • Operate diagnostic and interventional equipment, including fluoroscopy and monitoring systems.
    • Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare team members to optimize care.
    • Maintain imaging standards within PACS and electronic records, and ensure proper coding and billing documentation.
    • Maintain continuing education and competency standards.
  • Licenses and Certifications: BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; relevant radiology and core-competency certifications.
  • Additional Information: The position involves supporting research activities, providing standby call coverage, and adhering to departmental protocols for patient safety and radiation management. Parking at the facility may be challenging; multiple lots and street parking are available.
