Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a 355-bed acute care hospital
• Averages 5-15 cases per day
• 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
• 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire
• ASLS certification preferred

Additional Information

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
• Documents patient care and monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient transfer, discharge, and referral needs
• Provides patient and family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients
• Facility includes specialty centers for brain, cancer, heart, lung, orthopedics, and a Level 3 NICU
• Must start orientation on one of the designated 2026 start dates
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any Lifepoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
