Job Summary:
A Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse is needed in San Marcos, Texas. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a cardiac catheterization setting, practicing independently, and demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. The role focuses on both routine and complex patient care, including treatment planning, assessment, and patient education.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred); current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association); current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (American Heart Association); RN license in the state of Texas or a compact license.
- Position Requirements: All newly hired experienced Registered Nurses (RN) must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Precepted by designated trained staff; onboarding validated through organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation. Completion of all annual competency verification requirements. One year of experience in critical care setting preferred but new graduates will be considered.
