Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) nurse position is located in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves working within a high-volume, high-acuity interventional cardiac environment, providing specialized care to adult patients. The nurse will support diagnostic and interventional procedures, including PCI, and assist with patient assessments and documentation.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, with rotating shifts from 0700-1730, late, and 1000-2030 as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Current licensure in Missouri or a compact state, at least 2 years of experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab, ACLS and BLS certifications, minimum 1-year interventional cardiology experience, experience with high-volume and high-acuity procedures, proficiency with EPIC documentation system, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Impella device, IABP, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).
- Float: Float within service line may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have experience working with adult patients diagnosed with conditions such as AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, Aortic Stenosis, V-Tach, endocarditis, Afib, and peripheral vascular disease. The RN will provide conscious sedation, manage sterile supplies, assess vitals, and document in EPIC, with potential cross-training to hemodynamics monitoring.
