Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a Level 1 facility requiring recent cath lab experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a Level 1 hospital setting
• Cath lab performs STEMI, Shock, VAD, ECMO, and Structural Heart procedures
• Uses Phillips imaging equipment with new Siemens imaging equipment being added
• Documentation performed in Epic with hemodynamic monitoring in Xper
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 2 recent years of Cath Lab experience required
• Stepdown/PCU and travel experience required
• ARRT certification required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theories, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of cardiovascular patients
• Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures and minor treatments
• Monitor and document patient responses to interventions and treatments
• Administer medications and regulate IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks prior to start date
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
