Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 recent years of Cath Lab experience and ARRT certification at a Level 1 facility.

Details

• Level 1 Cardiac Cath Lab setting performing STEMI, Shock, VAD, ECMO, and Structural Heart procedures
• Uses Phillips imaging equipment with new Siemens imaging equipment being added
• Documentation completed in Epic with hemodynamic monitoring in Xper
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 2 recent years of Cath Lab experience required
• ARRT certification required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of cardiac patients ranging from routine to complex cases
• Assists physicians with diagnostic procedures and treatments in the Cath Lab
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegates tasks appropriately to support staff
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Returning travelers may extend a contract once for up to 26 weeks total, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines, requiring documentation and onboarding to begin immediately upon offer
