Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring Cardiac ICU experience and Cath/EP lab experience with on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Work in a Cardiovascular Interventional Lab (CVIL) encompassing Cath and EP labs
• Unit operates eleven procedure rooms for diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Treats Coronary Artery Disease, Valvular Heart Disease, Cardiomyopathy, Pericardial Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, and Aortic Disease
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts M-F, alternating between 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM, and 9:00 AM-7:30 PM
• No block scheduling and no set schedule with rotating days off
• On-call required for weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of 7-10 on-call days every 6 weeks
• Required 30-minute response time for on-call

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience required
• Cath and/or EP lab experience required
• Moderate sedation experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic CUPID experience preferred
• Critical Care Certification preferred
• Trauma course completion preferred
• Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a high-volume cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional lab
• Orientation occurs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
