Job Summary
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) specialist position is based in San Francisco. This role involves working in a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab with a focus on interventional cardiology procedures. The position requires experienced cardiovascular nurses to support complex interventions with a focus on Structural Heart and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). The role offers a day shift schedule and the opportunity to float to other university-affiliated facilities within the vicinity.

  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); 5+ years of experience in Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Cardiology, or Electrophysiology; successful candidates should have experience with Structural Heart and TAVR procedures; must have the ability to float to other facilities within the region.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Skills: Experience with antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, ASD closures, central line procedures, blood product administration, cardiac implant devices, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, emergency medications, hypothermia protocols, IABP and Impella insertion, infection prevention, procedural circulation, vascular closure systems, ventricular assist device insertion, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Additional Information: Must have prior charge nurse experience and be proficient in Epic charting system. BSN degree and California license are required. Floating to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius may be necessary during assignment.
  • Note: Application includes employment history with any university-affiliated healthcare facilities and references from recent employers. Travel pairings are permitted but generally not on the same unit.
  • Modules: Non-billable, vary by unit, completed pre-start and annually.
  • Start Date: Travelers with a Monday start date may start sooner if cleared, otherwise starting date remains as scheduled.
