Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring cardiovascular intervention experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a hospital and trauma center
• Day shift schedule with an on-call rotation
• On-call required one night per week and one weekend per month

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
• 3 years of RN experience with 1 year in critical care required
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required
• Must successfully pass an EKG test

Additional Information

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing standards and policies
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians
• Provide patient and family education tailored to their level of understanding
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise to support patients' longitudinal care plans and resolve system issues
• Escalate complex or safety-related situations to the appropriate chain of command
• Engage in continuous professional development and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Participate in peer review and feedback opportunities
