Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and STEMI on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab within a hospital setting
• 4x9.5-hour day shifts scheduled 7 AM to 5 PM
• STEMI on-call requirement of 10-12 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekends (Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM)
• May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Deliver competent clinical care specific to cardiac catheterization patients, including pre- and post-procedure education
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including use of two patient identifiers and safe transfer techniques
• Support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) evaluations for appropriateness based on procedure and patient health status
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to prioritize patient care based on condition and needs
• Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate
• Returning travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year before requiring a 30-60 day break before starting a new assignment
