Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse position is located in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures, including interventions such as cardiac cath with intervention, device implants, peripheral vascular, stroke, structural heart, STEMI, and stroke patients. The position requires ensuring patient safety, administering conscious sedation, and collaborating closely with physicians in a fast-paced acute care environment within a facility equipped with multiple cath labs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with on-call duties every 2-3 weekends and one weeknight per week. There are potential on-call hours with a team of four nurses plus a physician.
- Required Qualifications: Active North Dakota (ND) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (willing to obtain), a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab, BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA), and at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a large hospital setting, level 2 or higher, with familiarity in procedures utilizing equipment such as electronic charting (EPIC), CUPID, GE MAC LAB, EKOS, Balloon pumps, IMPELLA, Angiovac, FFR, and IVUS.
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA).
- Additional Information: The position requires floating to other units or departments as needed. All staff must badge in and out at the facility and wear designated scrub color (Cerulean Blue). Candidates must note if they have previously worked for Sanford Health, with end dates at least six months prior to submission. The facility operates a Level 1 Trauma program and utilizes a charting system compatible with electronic health records.
