Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab. The role involves working in an acute care setting handling various cardiac procedures. Ideal candidates have the ability to read strips and occasionally titrate drips, are adept at handling STEMI and NSTEMI cases, and are prepared for emergent situations. The candidate must work well within a team comprising an RN and Cath Lab Technicians (RTRs).

Shift Details: 4-9 hour shifts, with occasional extended hours
Call Requirements: Weeknight call 6-8 shifts/month, with additional weekend and holiday call requirements
Scrubs are provided
Responsibilities
Assist with cardiac procedures and care for patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, and congenital issues
Interpret cardiac strip readings and titrate drips as needed
Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver patient care
Participate in on-call rotations, including emergent case support
Qualifications
Required:
Active Illinois RN license or proof of application
ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
Ability to read cardiac strips and titrate drips
Experience with EPIC charting system
Familiarity with GE and Philips monitors and McKesson
Understanding of working within a Drug-Free Campus environment
Ability to work during call shifts including weekends and holidays
