Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in Lowell, Massachusetts. This position involves performing interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, peripheral vascular procedures, electrophysiology, and pacemaker placements. The technologist will operate complex cardiology equipment, assist physicians, and ensure patient safety while adhering to current interventional cardiology standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a shift duration of 10 hours per day and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree in Radiology, Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT), Massachusetts state license (may consider applicants willing to apply), Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification, minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Assist during interventional cardiac procedures following departmental policies and cardiovascular standards; operate advanced cardiology equipment; verify imaging protocols; perform sterile first assists; ensure safety protocols; monitor hemodynamic and physiologic values; maintain equipment quality control; coordinate care with other departments; maintain supply stock; clean and organize work areas; train and educate students and technologists; participate in on-call rotation.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, occasional sitting, walking, lifting up to 35 lbs, manual dexterity for fine manipulation, sufficient hearing and visual acuity, exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
- Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of interventional cardiac procedures, radiation safety, excellent communication and customer service skills, organization, independence, and training capabilities.
- Additional Information: Position expected to last initially for 13 weeks with potential extension, with interview availability within 24-48 hours.
