Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with 2-3 years of experience in Cath Lab procedures including Impella, telemetry, and IABP management.

Details

• Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory setting under the direction of a Cardiologist
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, no set day off
• Evening and weekend on-call required for emergency Cath Lab procedures

Requirements

• 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience required, including Impella, telemetry, and IABP
• Must be able to independently read telemetry strips and pass a telemetry exam on day 1 with 85% or better
• IR experience preferred
• RT(R) license required if applicable
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• RCIS certification preferred
• Minimum 18 months of experience in the specialty required

Additional Information

• Performs hemodynamic monitoring, imaging, and ambulatory monitoring operations in the Cardiology department
• Assists with radiologic operations of the Cath Lab and performs quality control using optimum diagnostic imaging
• Performs simple equipment troubleshooting and requests service as needed
• Completes patient billing forms for Cath Lab procedures
• Performs daily calibration and maintenance of film processor using sensitometric and densitometric equipment
• Assists with preparation of cardiology patients undergoing invasive procedures
• Maintains proficiency through continuing education credits
• Works under the direction of the Chief Radiologic Technologist
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the travel rate
