Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent ICU experience and CO or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Cardiac ICU unit with 16 beds and approximately 60 staff members
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients
• Equipment used includes cardiac monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• Unit performs procedures such as intubations and central line placements
• 24/7 physician coverage provided by intensivists, neuro-intensivists, and trauma surgeons

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current ICU hospital experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with neuro and medical ICU patient populations preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Collaborative team players with a strong focus on patient care are the best fit for this unit
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates will be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
