Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a specialized Cardiac ICU requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and GA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Cardiac Care ICU (CVC) is a 20-bed unit providing care for open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients
• Uses specialized equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers
• 12-hour day shifts with a schedule that varies between 7A-7P
• 3 shifts per week totaling 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN and NIH Stroke Scale certifications preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cardiac ICU specialty required

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break in service
• RTO must be requested prior to offer and cannot be requested afterward
