**Join Our Dynamic Cardiac Stepdown Unit Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Overview:** - **Number of Beds:** 18 - **Staffing:** 38 dedicated professionals - **Day Shift:** Ideal - 5 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 2 PCTs - **Night Shift:** 5 RNs and 1 PCT - **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 - **Equipment Utilized:** - Central lines, PCA, Foley catheters, chest tubes, pacer wires, telemetry, and drains - **Electronic Medical Record System:** Meditech - **Desired Skill Set:** - **Must-Have:** - Proficient in reading cardiac monitors - Capable of administering narcotics - **Preferred:** - Stepdown experience - Strong cardiac knowledge - **Typical Procedures Performed:** - CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, Mitral clip, thoracotomy, Afib, CHF, MI - Administration of popular cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Nitro - **Ideal Personality Fit:** - Team player with critical thinking skills - Kind and compassionate demeanor - **Required Certifications:** - BLS, ACLS - **Floating Areas:** - Telemetry and Med Surg - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color/Attire: All navy - **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - Vital signs and assessments every 4 hours - Rhythm interpretation every 4 hours - **Weekend Commitment:** - Every other weekend required **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
