Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required. Floating to like units as needed. Contract duration of 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

Highlights:

• Surgical Telemetry PCU specializing in cardiac care including myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, and structural heart procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:4 (may be 1:5 at midnight) with a 36-bed unit and daily census of 32 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Advanced cardiac procedures including LVAD management, open heart post-op care (24-28 hours), chest tube management, and epicardial pacing
• Adult and geriatric patient population with complex cardiac and vascular diagnoses
• Opportunity to work with specialized structural heart support including VAD and TAVR patients

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required; previous travel experience required (not accepting first-time travelers)
• Surgical telemetry experience with open heart surgery and vascular procedures (groin/radial band management) is mandatory
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic charting system experience is a mandatory requirement
• Strong IV skills and experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with chest tubes, sternal precautions, cardiac drips, and blood product administration
• Must be flexible with floating to similar units and meeting weekend coverage requirements
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
