Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified RN - Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients in a 34-bed unit with private rooms.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 3:1, ensuring individualized care.
• Demonstrate competence in pediatric single ventricle care and cardiac surgeries.
• Manage care for patients with ventricular assist devices and heart transplants.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Adhere to facility policies and support a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac Progressive Care or Step-Down settings.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pediatric cardiology experience, ICU or Intermediate Care preferred.
• Strong understanding of pediatric cardiology, including VAD and heart transplant care.
• Travel experience preferred; considerations made for first-time travelers.
