Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week Days assignment requiring RDCS certification and at least 5 years of experience with TEE, TTE, and Stress echo.
Details
- Position within the Echocardiology department
- 5 8-hour day shifts Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Possible Saturday rotation with staff as needed
- Uses Philips ultrasound equipment
- Uses Lumason imaging agent for bubble studies
- EMR system is Epic
- Potential to extend the assignment through September
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required
- Associate's degree in radiology or equivalent certification required
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- ACLS certification preferred
- Proficiency in TEE, TTE, and Stress echo required
- Experience with M-Mode, 2-D, color, and Doppler imaging required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- IV start capability preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and scanning patients in all aspects of cardiac imaging including exercise testing and TEE
- Reports to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer
- Operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the Boston facility to qualify for the standard rate
