Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown position requiring an active IL RN license and prior stepdown experience.

Details

• Cardiac Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Historical patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM-7:00 AM
• 1845 start time will float
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• 8, 10, or 13 week contract options available

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration, with IA license application required if not already active
• Compact RN license accepted
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of previous stepdown experience required
• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Experience with titration of medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required
• Completed skills checklist within 1 year of submission date required

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Facility is a Level 1 trauma center
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
