Position Details

- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Openings: 3
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: Only if census is low
- Float: Required as needed

- 36-bed Cardiac IMCU / Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit
- Patient Ratios:
- Cardiac patients: 1:5–6
- PCU/Stepdown patients: 1:3–4

- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
Common Diagnoses & Treatments
- Chest pain
- VATS procedures
- Stroke/TIA
- Pre- and post-open heart surgery care
- Pacemakers
- Heart blocks
- Vascular conditions
- Congestive heart failure (CHF)
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Associate degree required
- Minimum of 1 year PCU or stepdown experience (2+ years preferred)
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Experience with:
- Cardiac patient populations
- Chest tube management
- Cardiac monitoring
- Cardiac drips
- Cardiac stepdown care
- Low-level ICU skills preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills required
