• Position: Travel CVICU RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
• Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401 — a welcoming community with a convenient setting for travel professionals

• End Date: 12/12/2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Schedule Notes: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals; holidays required; every other weekend
• Setting: 8-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state license
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• 2 years of CVICU or ICU nursing experience preferred; consideration may be given with at least 18 months of experience and 1 recent year in the specialty
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• Current AHA BLS certification
• AHA NIH or Red Cross equivalent certification
• Ability to work patient-facing clinical shifts in a high-acuity critical care environment
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac intensive care patients in a CVICU setting
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in condition for complex cardiac and critically ill patients
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Receive and stabilize patients from the Cath Lab, Emergency Department (ED), and Acute Care areas
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered critical care nursing in a safe and secure environment
• Maintain strong clinical judgment while working in a fast-paced cardiovascular ICU
• Support unit needs by floating when required and maintaining flexibility with scheduling
