Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring SC or compact RN license and 2 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit in an inpatient hospital setting
• Cares for adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and CAD
• Manages cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
• Performs vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, and thoracentesis
• Utilizes cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring equipment
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Float required to like units or other facilities depending on census needs

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry or related unit required
• At least 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiac telemetry environment
• Complete pre-assignment testing and required compliance modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience
• Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on facility census needs
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible, with mileage exceptions for certain night shift specialties requiring only 50+ miles from the contracted campus
