Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift role requiring MD or compact RN license and PCU-level experience for a combined MS/Tele-CPU unit.

Details

• Combined Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit (3E CPU) caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Average daily census of 30 with 22 rooms/30 beds
• Patient population includes CHF, ECOPD, NSTEMI, new-onset AFib, arrhythmias, sepsis, and renal failure/AKI
• Higher acuity unit requiring PCU-level experience
• 3x12 night shift schedule, 1900-0730
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within specialty as needed
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• No pre-scheduled on-call, but may be placed on call in lieu of a call-off

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required
• BLS and CPI certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, though first-time travelers with strong CPU/PCU experience and ability to handle higher acuity may be considered

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within a combined higher-acuity Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of offer, limited to one major and one minor holiday request for the fall/winter season
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have strong CPU/PCU experience
