Assignment Duration

This is a contract position for 18 weeks.

Schedule

3, 12-hour shifts (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM); every other weekend required.

Job Description

The RN will provide care in a 3W Cardiac Telemetry unit, focusing on telemetry patients with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac catheterization patients. The role includes remote telemetry monitoring and administering specialty drips.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring cardiac telemetry patients and interpreting dysrhythmias.
• Management of medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin.
• Providing support for cardiac drips and IV management.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams for patient care.
• Ensuring compliance with isolation precautions and protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact State.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry nursing.
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Community Hospital.
• Travel experience is required.
